I love it when my customers share their photos. It's one thing to make items for your party, pack them in a box and send them on their way, but to actually see them incorporated into your vision is the most rewarding thing for me!

This fantastic super mom has twin 5 year old boys and a 1 year old daughter. I love it when I develop a relationship of sorts with a client and get to work with them over so many major events! She is one of those, "I think we'd be best friends if we lived close to each other." kinda clients.

Well, her boys wanted a dino party, she set a budget, we made it work and in the end, she did a FAB job with it!

SO, I am in LOVE with these simple and easy ornaments. A sweet friend came over the other night and I think I made 2 in 10 minutes! Here they are!

These are SUPER easy!

Directions:

Gather styrofoam balls, ribbon, straight pins, and buttons! Cover. LOL!

That easy, super cheap and they look SO cute when you are done!

Watch out those who have an ornament exchange with me :) You might just get one :)

Happy Sunday everyone!

Well, with the holiday season upon us, it's crazy to think that Thanksgiving and Christmas is JUST a round the corner! My sister was up to visit this weekend and we were talking about our Christmas cards. (CANNOT believe I'm already doing this. Seems like I just did it! EEK!)

Anyways!

I always send a few handmade cards to special friends and family, but mostly I order a neat card with a picture collage from Shutterfly. Those who don't get to be around or who are not on Facebook :) LOL may not get to see fun things Matthew has been up to over the past year! Last year I went with Shutterfly's FAB folded Holiday Cards and they were such a hit! Everyone told me how great the colors in my pictures looked and how they loved all the pictures I included on it!

Halloween Weekend! No tricks, just TREATS!

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a fab October!

Just wanted to share this super cute idea!

Matthew has a great teacher for preschool again this year and for each class party, I always try and get the teacher a little something. Afterall, she is putting up with MY child three mornings a week :)

So, today was his Halloween party! Here is what she got!

This was a normal kraft beverage container! I covered it on all sides with Halloween paper, inked the edges, made a cute title, added twine and tulle. Inside are some tasty treats from Heine Brothers, the BEST local coffee shop. There is a tumbler, coffee, tea leaves, green tea mints, stew cup, etc. Perfect for a sweet teacher!

Matthew was spiderman today, but has 3 more costumes pulled from his dress up bin for the rest of the weekend :)

Happy Labor Day Everyone!

A day full of plans was changed as my little guy woke up with some stomach bug that had his little heart throwing up and mommy wishing she could make it all better! It's only the second time he's ever been sick like that, and he's a champ. A few extra hugs and a morning full of nothing but Rugrats on Netflix and momy holding him in bed fixed it all :)

A quick pic from the wedding monkey was in last weekend :) That's the Ohio River in the background. The wedding was on the roof top and it was a beautiful day for it!

Matthew turned 5!!! ARG!!!

Well, my little man is a whole Hand now :) He is 5 and I can hardly believe it! His birthday was a few weeks ago and I'm not going to lie, there is a lot of stress on this momma to have a fAB party since I happen to help others do that on a daily basis!

We had a great turn out at the park in the Kentucky heat and his closest friends and our wonderful family showed up to help him celebrate!

I had the picnic catered by Mark's Feed Store- they have FAB BBQ! We had Pork, Chicken, Buns, Green Beans, Potato Salad, Cole Slaw, and Buttermilk pies!

The kiddos enjoyed chicken nuggest and a fruit arrangement from Edilbe Arrangements!

Here are some pics from the evvent!

This was the sweets table!

Included above are red velvet cake pops, pirate face cookies, anchor cookies, fruit arrangement, cupcakes, chocolate pops, favor cups, brownies and nuts! Not to mention his cake!! The cupcakes were red velvet and yellow, so the cake was top carrot and bottom white!

Here is his cake! (Cakes by Lisa E) There was a fondant pirates hook on top, but it broke the day we picked it up. Oh well. He needed a candle somewhere!!

If you notice, there are edible cupcake toppers that are pirate faces :) The favors consisted of red adn white striped boes with an eye patch around them. Inside were pirate coloring books, crayong, hand clappers, pirate wristbands, red hots, lemon heads, pirate paddle ball, etc. and custom suckers in covers that said Matthew is 5!

ANd these are my lovely girls from high school from made the hour and a hlaf trip up for the party. We have always had it at my parents every year in my hometown, and with this being the first year not down there, I felt so loved that they and there kiddos came up for the day! Between us we have 8 cute kids :)

Wish I had gotten pictures of the rest of the decor, but oh well! There were paper fans in red, black and white. Red and white polka dot fabric table runners. Polka dot ballons, personalized centerpieces, etc! Shew- just not enough time to get it all!!

Okay, no one promise to faint :) I actually have some cards and layouts to share in the next couple days!!! Back in July, I got to spend the weekend at a FAB crop with some of my favorite gals, including my little sis :) I seriously only worked on 2 "work" related projects, and that wasn't until the last day! I got like 6 cards, a gift bag adn tag, and about 15 layouts done!! Vacation is scrapped folks! Shew! :) So now for the whole thing that started my love for paper.....a card :)

Hi there!! Hope all is well! i have had afew people ask me about vinyl lately, so I thought I would show you a tutorial I put toget a while back! You can see it step by step here . (I did this for a design team I was on at the time!) I will note that your blade should be set on a 2, not a 6 as I typed in the article originally.

Vinyl is fabulous to work with! From baby gifts, home decor, and so much more! The possibiities are really endless!

Hi Everyone!!! Well, I was so fortunate to get a huge box of goodies from the fabulous folks over at Elmers!!!! Look at this baby!!! Filled full off Elmers and Xacto goodness!

I was so excited to be a part of their Craft and Tell project!!

Well, after a surprise surgery for the hubby cancelled my first date for my Craft and Tell, I got the perfect chance to host at a weekend scrap retreat for some of the most wonderful scrappers and crafters around!! All the girls had a blast with their new goodies. A few people who couldn't come were sent a fab goodie bag from me as well and they were super excited! All in all: Amanda, Elizabeth, KC, Dana, Raegan, Mindy, Laurel, Vicki, Lindsay, Patty, Melissa, and myself LOVE all the new goodness!!! It's so much fun to give away $400 worth of goodies!!

Elmers has come a long way into our hobby! I think they seriously have a product for EVERY craft I love! From paper crafts and scrapbooking to woodworking and fabric- they have me covered! I LOVE the Glue Runners and Glue Dots!!! Not to mention the scissors and self healing mats from Xacto!

I seriously cannot believe how fast July got here! 2011 is over half way over people!!! Where did it go?!

Well, I love it when people ask me to create something new. It's just nice to let NEW creative ideas flow! I designed a custom bridal shower package for a customer and she wanted a pin for the Bride to wear while she was opening her gifts that matched the decor! Well, it took a bit of trial and error, but here is what I came up with!

I little shimmery tulle in the colors of the shower and wah-lah!

One day when my sister decides to settle down, I will have this bridal shower thing whipped!!! :)

Taking a mid day break today to go to the noon Zumba class. I think I need to to kick my Monday off right!!! I got a message from my "big sister" in my sorority. Her little girl was turning one and she asked me to make a banner and sign for her! Well sure! Here is the way Lizzie's sign turned out! Can't wait until Jenny sends me the pics from the party!! Hey there! I know it seems like I fell off the face of the earth, but I didn't! I am sure you know all to well the hustle and bustle that is summer. Take that add a mini vaycay that got cut short when hubby had to have more surgery, (we are 10 days into recovery), vacation bible school, tball, etc. I have been blessed to have a very busy business and I have been working as much as possible, but still being the kind of mom I want to be! Matthew got to stay on vacation when I had to fly home early with my mom/sister and Dust's aunt. He had a blast and I was so glad he got to stay and not worry about us/hospital/surgeries/etc.

News and a Jungle Birthday!

Happy Thursday!

Well, a lot has gone on around here!

Hubby fell and tore his ACL and meniscus again and it looks like he needs a full knee replacement. His response was to this effect, "Not until my leg is about to fall off." I don't blame him. We've had 9 surgeries in 4 years and he is only 29. He has had ACL and LCL surgery in both knees before (about 10 years ago) and doesn't want any part of knee surgery. I am only scared that his knee will opo out again and he will be coming down the stairs rather than on the carpet in the basement like this time . Doctor again next week to discuss his options. (and yes, for my regular followers- it's always somethign around here!!! We are very blessed though, so I don't let things get me down! HE has a plan and HE knows best!)

Now, on to some crafty pics!!!!

I was contacted by a sorority sister to make some fab decor for her son's birthday! Now granted we were at EKU at different times and have never met in person, but I feel as if I know her and I was excited to work with her!!!

What a CRAZY week.

It has been a crazy week around here. Dustin fell and tore his ACL again and his meniscus in his left knee. (He has had ACL/LCL surgery in both knees before).

Vacation Bible School at church, family in 4 different days, tball started, so practice and game, and of course I had to take Matthew swimming two afternoons to let him enjoy the beautiful day God gave us! Well, I wanted to show you something that happened last night. I was working on printing out shipping labels in the corner of my studio, and Matthew decided to crawl in the chair with me like he usually does. This time though- he fell asleep! LOL. Oh how I love this little guy! He is my gift from God! Can't wait to scrap this picture one day!!!

He was OUT like a light!!!! I finished, then took him to bed :) I love that he wants to be near me so much!!!

I have had a few people ask about seeing my studio and such!!! I will take some pictures soon and share!!! Nothing over the top, so don't get too excited, but it works perfect for me!!!

What a busy week it has been. Preschool ended, a death in the family, my mom is up to visit....CA- RAZY!! :)

Now off I go to spend some time with my mom and my little guy. Then time to package up all nine projects being sent in for publication. I love all the things she has taught me and we got to spend some time together last weekend designing and sewing these beauties. Let me just say- God knew what he was doing when he gave me a boy. I am SO excited- Look what just arrived on my doorstep- 5 days earlier than expected might I add!!!

The new E2. It"s a little smaller than my Expression and a lot smaller than my Imagine.

Now I know there are a lot who don't live Provo Craft and some who are boycotting them. But I will be honest, I have never had a problem with them personally.

I have had to talk to Customer Service a couple times- once a rewards certificate missing and once about a replacement mat,(both of which I got in th email in just a few days) but other than that, my machines have been used for 5-10 hours every single day for over 2 years and thank the good Lord, I haven't had issues. I am in the process of researching other commerical die cutters out there and will be purchasing one of those in the near future, but with my library of carts, I won't even go into that as I might get sick: ), I can't justify not using something that works for me on the basis of others dealings with the company.

So excited to see the new features and get it hooked up to my gypsy :)

I hope everyone had a great weekend.

We gave away a scholarship at my hometown high school FFA Banquet in my brother's memory like we always do. Then, the kids raised $1300 for Matt"s Scholarship fund. 2 kids received the Matt Monroe Star Greenhand award as well.

It's always bittersweet. I know he is proud of us, but so much of me wants him here and the words after his name during the presentation not to be "memorial".

We have 2 more scholarships to give in his memory this year. One for a high school football player and for a member of their church youth group.

I'm glad these kids will get the chance to go to school and further their education. I am happy to know our family has something to do with that in honor of our missing part.

There is healing in helpong others.

On that note- so many prayers for our friends in the areas affected by these awful storms. The Ohio River here in Louisville has been a mess and business and offices evacuated and closed. BUT, that is nothing to what our dear friends to the south are dealing with. God bless you as you grieve loss of loved ones, praises as new survivors are found, and prayers for a brighter future my friends!

What. A. Day.

I know that immitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but it's really irritating when someone takes your ideas and down right copies them. Don't get me wrong, competition makes the business world go around, but today I was forwarded something that was just down right upsetting. Someone not only copied things I made (that doesn't really bug me as I know many have the ability to do what I do) and the kicker-

SHE EVEN COPIED MY DESCRIPTION, WORD FOR WORD.

Okay. Make what you please, am fine with that, but at LEAST write your own description. She deleted the things I had listed she did not make, but even down to the number of exclamation marks. WOW.

I cannot imagine straight up copy and pasting someone elses descriptions.

I have been told of others who have obviouly taken a couple of my original ideas and started making them, but at least the other 2 ladies wrote their own descriptions.

Okay. I am off my soap box.

This is just another reason that when someone finds something they like somewhere else and bring it to me to make, I change it up and make it my own.

Off to enjoy the rest of this beautiful day with the cutest little boy I know :)

Hi everyone!!! Well, I apologize for leaving you high and dry! SO much has been going on! The hubby had surgery last week. We seriously found out and had about 2 weeks and it was a whirlwind. We are home from teh hospital and he is doing better. For those who have been around this blog for a while, you know it isn't our first rodeo. Blessings and prayers for a healthy recovery.

WHat else has been going on? Well, I got to go to the FINAL FOUR. It was fabulous and didn't quite end the way I wanted :) (GO CATS!) but fun nonetheless :)

We also had a death int he the family, a stomach bug, and preschool spring break.

LOL. My life is whirlwind sometimes!
I have mailed 189 packages in 2 weeks. Seriously. 189.

That's a lot of packages :) Blessed, and thankful for great customers.

Anyways, I know you guys have all had a lot going on too I am sure! Can't wait to catch up!!! I had planne don catching up on everyone's blogs while we spent several days in teh hospital, but I had internet service for a while 30 minutes one day and that was it! Plan failed. SO, I am trying to catch up a few at a time!

Hey all.

The giveaway and such is still going on from yesterday (as I had pre scheduled the posts for the last couple of days, )but I have had a death in the family (she was my second cousin who passed from leukemia. Only in her 50's and her mom is also in the hospital and the doctors are not giving her very long.) I ask for prayers for Debra's husband, her sister, her dad, and of course her mom. I feel so bad for her sister and dad right now who are faced with not only the loss of their daughter/sister, but also of their wife/mother in the near future. Situations like this always make me put myself in check.

Just didn't want anyone to think I was ignoring them this weekend or over the next couple of days as posts are prescheduled through the week so I don't have to worry about a blog when there are so many other things going on.

Publication Gitty :)

I am always super excited when I get the fun email that says "We would like to publish (insert unworthy project of mine here) in the (month) issue of (insert FAB magazine here.) :) It always makes me gitty!

Well, the next thing that makes me gitty a couple months after the publication is realeased is the return of my little project(s) and the super fun box I get with it :)

I had a cute little reindeer tag picked up by Scrapbook Trends for it's Create:Christmas Cards Mag a couple months back. Well, last week I got my tag back along with the 2 issues of the magazine and a box filled with goodies :)

SO, for of you out there who are trying to get published- keep at it!

It's been a long morning already. Matthew fought me on going to preschool this morning. Normally, if he can justify to me his reasonings, I listen. However this morning after several failed attempts to convince me why he shouldn't go to school he says:

"Mommy, see that sunshine outside?"

Me: "Yes"

Him, "It would be such a shame to waste a beautiful day inside."

Seriously, he said that. He's 4. Wonder where he's heard that :)

My response: "PUT on YOUR clothes. You are going to school."

And that was that.

Oh- did I mention today is my 5th Anniversary.

We laugh. For all the things we (and our family) have been through in 5+ years, it seems more like 50. But looking at us at 5 years, we are stronger than the majority of those we know. The whole for better or worse part of the ceremony hits home :)

Love you Dust!! Seems like yesterday we were in the Venetian in Vegas getting ready to say I do. I wore a short dress (NEVER did I think I would be a southern girl who did that, but when you plan for a Vegas wedding, it just felt right!) and some FAB shoes that I stil have and have searched for another reason to wear :)

Okay- for the real reason you actually read my blog :) The crafty bit :

I was asked by a client to design a party for her twin girls that centered around the colors in a shower curtain, zebras, and monkeys. Yep.

Well, here is the finished product! These girls will be celebrating their party tomorrow with all there favorites and this decor :) Can't wait to see the party pics!

Bracket Challenge and Fab memories!

I have been blessed to have some really wonderful people in my life both past and present. It's crazy to think that there are sorority sisters of mine that I can pick up a conversation with after not talking, other than facebook of course :), for years and for the moment, we are 21 on the sorority floor living a couple doors down from each other again. I love that. I mean I really love that.

Well, this opportunity came about just as randomly as my last paragragh.

If you have been around here long, you know that as crazy as I am about crafting, I am equally as crazy about sports. About any sport.

Except golf.

I'd rather watch grass grow.

(With the exception of Happy Gilmore. :)

You see, there is a new blog in town, Our Cup Runneth Over. (after you read this, run over there and tell them hi and mention you came from 62Cards :) You'll get the VIP treatment. LOL, okay maybe not, but it sounded good. )

No I haven't forgot about you :) How could I?!?! I have just been so SUPER duper busy that I am seriously returning emails in the preschool carpool line, in line at the airport, and I might or might not have been cutting ribbon for favor tags as I cooked dinner..... Yeah, that, busy. Blessed, but busy.

I LOVE creating. I love making things for parties that moms and grandmas drool over and love. I love that something I put together with my hands adorns the wall behind your precious child and serves as a back drop for first birthday photos. I am that lucky.

Somewhere in that "luckiness" (made up word I am sure) comes the struggle of finding balance between, mom/wife/sister/daughter/business owner/personal shopper/driver/chef/house cleaner/entertainer/church member/friend/crafter/cruise director :) etc. You get the point and many of you are right here with me in the same boat. I know. I look up to you!

So, forgive me as I climb the mountain of catching up and realizing my limits and just love me anyways :) SOOOOO much on my camera to share. Now if I could just find the time to download, resize, touch up......:)

Happy Sunday everyone! Fighting sinuses and cold weather around here, but to look outside through the window.....IT IS GORGEOUS :) If only the temperature matched the scenary right now!! :) Oh well, warmer days will come in due time and during the 100 degree July days, I will be thinking about chilly weather :)

Matthew was sick part of the week last week. I always told myself when I started paper crafting that no matter what, family would always come first. Same thing when I openend my Etsy shop. Well, as it has grown, there have been days when I have had to work on orders instead of doing something else fun with my monkey. Of course I make up for it, but this week I have had to turn down some really time intensive orders. I just knew that I would rather spend that time cuddling with my sweet boy and reading books and such. I will not be sorry for that :) To top the list of books, Dr. Seuss are some of my favs of course! SO how happy was I to have been asked create banners to go with a Dr. Seuss party!!

One fish, two fish......(go ahead, finish it in your head, I know you did :)

Birthday Fun!

Hope everyone has had a great day! My headache is much better! Thank you for your sweet comments! My little guy has had a fever since Saturday night, so no preschool today for him! He is fine, just sinus junk :) That's what happens in KY when the temp is 50 one day and 20 the next :) lol.

So, I have a very special friend who I met through the crafty networks that be here in Louisville. She is so much fun to be around and UBER talented. We had a blast together at CHA and has been a lifesaver when I needed someone to watch Matthew for an emergency doctor visit! (When you don't have your fam locally, it helps to have friends like these!!!) Through our friendship, our sons have developed a friendship! Matthew loves to have Elan over to play, sled, and hang out!

Well, Elan had a birthday recently and I had to make him a special card to go with his gift! (He shoudl feel very specal as I haven't stopped to make a card in for-EV-er it seems!!! So pulling out my fav EPP's Little Boy and the new number dies and birthday present dies from Papertrey Ink, I whipped this up for him:

SO you all know I have this crazy obsession with Papertrey Ink. I have boxes upon boxes of stamp set that I could NOT live without that have yet to be opened. (Yes, problem, I know.) I am one of those crazies who stays up until midnight on release day to make sure I get to buy what I want. SO, when I checked the blog today, I saw they were asking us to pull out our FAV project from the past year using PTI products. Here is mine!

I had a crazy rish order last week for a customer out in California. She was throwing her son a western 1st birthday party and needed my help! Well, 2 banners and 40 gift bags later, she sent me a note to say how much she loved all of it. She even included this picture from the party's photographer and she has more pics to send. Can't wait.

First, I love the pic of the pony. How adorable. Second- I love her home :) And third- I am now working on her latest order of thank yous to go with the last order.

Hey my fabulous bloggy friends :) I hope you all are having a great Sunday. It is a gorgeous day here in KY and at a whopping 46 degrees, it calls for outside time! (Considering we had mulitple inches of snow twice last week!) That's just KY weather for you. It can be 70 one week and 6 inches of snow the next! :)

A fav local customer of mine had a party at the planitarium yesterday. She had asked if I could make some space like tags for her to attach to the astronaut food she was using as favors! Here is what I cam up with! (You can find the cuts on your Boys Will Be Boys cartridge!)

My little guy was a big fan of these!

Speaking of him, I got some good girl chit chat in Friday night when a good friens and her 3 kiddos came over to hang out and get crafty! The boys had a picnic of popcorn, popsicles, and juice in their pj's, with pillow pets, watching movies, and playing! (Is that enough "p's" for ya? :)

I didn't get a lot done b/c I was too busy chatting and catching up with my girl :)

Classroom Candy Bags!

Happy Friday everyone! Spent the morning in the doctor with the hubby and then off to get my little monkey from preschool. He had a great day and LOVES his preschool! He goes 3 mornings a week from 9:30 until 1:00. One of those mornings I have Bible Study upstairs, (he goes to a fully accredited preschool at our church.) It is wonderful! If you are in the Louisville/So. Indiana area and looking for a FAB preschool, let me know! (There is a MDO starting at 6 weeks old too!) The other 2 mornings give me a chance to run errands, doctor appts, get some work done, etc. It helps SO much since I don't have my family up here to help out with Matthew when I need to do a few things.

Anyways! With preschool coming up I am always looking for something cute to give his 7 classmates. I have started playing around with ideas and even made a few sets to add to the shop. Be ready to see samples of what I will come up with :)

Here is the first set! I attached these to the cello bags with resealable strip at the bottom. Just fill up with candy, seal, and give :)

PP is Teresa Collins, CS is American Crafts and you can find the heart cut and shadow on the Doolecharms cartridge. I popped the heart and layers up on Elmers foam tape to add dimention! (Thank you ELmers for the big ole box of free adhesives to play with :)

I had a fun custom request the other day! A client was throwing a Thirty-One Party. (A purses, totes, bags, monogrammable items, etc)

She wanted some cute cupcake toppers to go with her theme!

Here is what I came up with for her! I love the glitter!!

I have added these to the shop too. They would make a great addition to a DIVA birthday party, girls nite, etc!

My heart is hurting this morning. I am very blessed to have 2 best friends besides my husband. One since high school and one since college. Both of these girls know me inside and out (and love me anyways). We have made so many memories together. I was in both their weddings, there for births of children, and they have been there for me during the birth of Matthew and the loss of my brother. I LOVE them! Yesterday afternoon I talked to my best friend from home, she has 3 beautiful little ones and is preggo, about 12/13 weeks, before her doctor's appt. We got read to hang up, I told her to have a great appt and I would call her later to see how it went. Well, this evening she gave me the heart breaking news that there was no heartbeat. She is so very distraught. I have lifted her up in prayer all night and still find myself not able to sleep thinking about her. She miscarried her first child. Had a girl, boy, girl, and has now lost another little one. She has complete faith in God, but that doe snot make the pain any easier. So for all you out there who pray, please add my dear friend Lindsey to your list.

Vinyl Jars!

Hey there!

I first apoogize for the bad picture, but as I was about to wrap these babies up, I realized I had not taken a picture! (B/C you know that is a must :)

I made these for Matthew's preschool teach, Director (which happens to be from my hometown, her brothers used to hang out with my dad and uncle in high school and her niece graduated with my brother! :), and asst. director (who's happens to be related to me on my maternal grandparents side, LOL) Seriously, you can move an hour and a half away from your hometown into the biggest city in the state and STILL find people that tie you to home! LOVE IT!!

I bought these jars at my second home...Michaels :)

I cut designs from vinyl and put them onto the jars, stuffed them with pretty tissue paper and tied with pretty bows! I added the designs to the top as well!

I love decorating jars! And you all know I love vinyl!!!! Here are a couple more projects I have done with vinyl! I am also going to look up the tutorial (Where I added vinyl to candles.) I made to show you who have asked how to use it with your Cricut!

Happy Sunday everyone! Last week was a crazy week! I visited my parents, we had more crazy snow, one of the ignition coils went out on my Hummer (while I was at my parents) and LUCKILY my dad's go to guy for automotives was able to fix it, at 8:30 at night so I could get back to Louisville before the snow! Then USPS lost an Express Mail package to ATL (remember that cute Nautial Crew sign I showed you the other day??? Yep, that package. SO I remade the WHOLE order and reshipped it for the frantic mommy! She got it all! And to boot, USPS delivered the package finally on Saturday, a week and 2 days AFTER it was supposed to be there. (I overnighted it!!!!) Good news- mom has her bday decorations and the other box is being returned to me, AND I am getting a shipping refund from USPS. Bad news....I now have a nautical banner and a sign with MACK on them to find homes for! Everything else can be resold!

Anyways! I have some crafty pics to share! And guess what I am doing today?? Working on orders AND making a few cards! I need some card therapy! When you get crazy busy, you realize that you need to take a few minutes and make a few thigs that make you smile :)

Speaking of smiling... I can't look at these new hats without smiling! I had 15 ordered for a party and I HAD to take a pic before I sent them!!

oh, and remember earlier I mentioned snow???? Well, My little guy had 2 friends over Friday to go sledding with! My super sweet friend Amanda, let me borrow 2 of her kiddos to take sledding with Matthew and I! We all had fun!!! Here are a couple pics!

Happy day everyone! I had a request last month for a Owl birthday party. Not just any party. One done with crazy cuteness, Amy Butler (By K&Co) patterned paper and so much more! Well, I didn't get a chance to take a decent picture before shipping the goods, but I snapped this one with my camera. The happy mom is going to send over pictures after the party!

SO I just had to show you this cute sign for a recent nautical birthday party I did! I loved the cute saying!

The cool part is that I made it a 12x12 so that it could be the first page in a scrapbook of his birthday party! Just slip it right in and first page is done!!

She's Back!

Good evening everyone!!! I have missed all of you so much!!!! After the family emergency, (Aunt Jackie is MUCH better. I will update later, but she is now home from Texas and spent several days and nights with us :) I took a few days as a much needed break to get through the holidays. The 30th was also my little brother's birthday. He would have been 24. A pretty emotional day for me. That is how old I was when we lost him a few years ago. How old I was when I got married. How old I was when I had my son, etc. Just makes me wonder who he would be today. Love that boy. The heart and reason behind the "62" in my name for those who haven't been around these parts long. (It was his football number :)

But I am BACK. As crazy and loud as ever :)

Blessed and thankful.

Joyful and happy.

Ready for another fabulous year.

And ready to blog my little heart out :)

Love you all and I hope your 2011 is your best yet.

FAMILY EMERGENCY

Hey everyone. We have had a family emergency and I will return as soon as possible to finish up my giveaways. My husband's aunt was in Amarillo last night for work today and called me at 1:45 to tell me she was going to the ER. Note: She is not married, mid 40's no kids, etc. We are her family and Matthew is her pride and joy.

Anyways, they found a massive brain aneurysm behind her left eye that is leaking. (Mind you, my MIL- her sister- had the EXACT same thing happen in March and underwent major surgery.) SO, long story short, after an entire early morning of figuring out what is going on, they are moving her to Dallas to do the surgery. My husband was freaking out to get there, bought a one way on the spot plane ticket and went to the airport. Mind you he just had his 3rd back surgery in 10 months, 6 months ago and cannot ride across Louisville without being in horrible pain. I had NO idea how he was going to make it down there in that pain, and he wanted me to stay with Matthew. Long story short- he called his dad and his dad talked him out of going and said he would go in his place to be there with her. I may fly to Dallas next week depending on the outcome of the surgery. SO, please keep Aunt Jackie in your prayers! We love her dearly!!!!!!

On my way to a birthday party tonight and my grandparents Christmas tomorrow. Safe travels for all. See you soon!!!!

Happy day everyone!!!! I am sure a lot of you are preparing for Christmas festivities around your home. Same here. Matthew got to make cookies and use all of his cookie cutters and tubes of icing the other night. He took them to preschool yesterday for dessert for his class :) I hear they were a hit and he was SO proud he made and decorated them!!! So much fun to see a sense of pride in a child!!!

Well, there are some Christmas traditions I just flat out love.

Decorating the tree together, baking homemade cookies while listening to my favorite songs from years ago, (AKA-Thisselhair the Christmas Bear by Alabama tops the list :) and sending and receiving Christmas cards! I seriously LOVE openign my mailbox and seeing all the sweet holiday wishes from friends and family far and near. Makes me smile! If you one to do your cards a little later than others (Yep, I'm a late card sender :) then you really should look into getting your cards from Shutterfly.

I actuially had no idea about the plethora of designs they offered, but when my good friend of a billion years, Allie, sent my card from her and her hubby, I thought it was adorable! It was heavy in weight, glossy, and super duper nice! I myself LOVE Christmas photo cards, so of course I was going to love it!

Here are 2 of my FAV designs. Haven't decided which photo card I am going to get yet, but I will be choosing one of these 2!!!

I LOVE the ability to share multiple pictures on my cards! We do so much all year, and this is my chance to fill our family adn friends on on the festivities!!!! PLUS- did you see the pink in it?!?! LOL- gotta get my fix somewhere!!!

Seriously, where has December gone to? 2010 for that matter?! My dad told me when I was in high school that after I graduated, time would fly by. I probably rolled my eyes and said, "Suuurreeee it will." in my most "whatever" tone. Now, I know what he meant. I never remember time going by so quick as a child or teen!!

Anyways, I am IN LOVE with making these FUN picture cubes!!! These will make cute preschool teacher gifts and neighbor gifts too!! Love it!!!

Craft Fair Time

Well, no matter what you have planned today, I hope it is crafty and fun :) My mom and I are at a 23rd annual Holiday Halls Arts and Crafts show! At this show, everything has to be handmade. I love that :) You may be surprised that I actually have VERY little paper crafting at shows! Paper crafts like I do are much more of an online item. All the customizing and pictures sell it online, not at a show!

So, what do I do at shows? Here are a few pics from a show a couple weeks ago! Now everything at this show did not have to be handmade, so my mom had several things from her children's show, like the backpacks, that were for resale.

Here are my rolled ribbon and fabric magnetic brooches, pins, clips, etc. a topiary, a few cards, and my applique'd onesies.

Jumbo magnetic clothespins! Used for the fridge or upside down for a picture holder!

More applique's onesies and mom's backpacks :) (If you need a backpack, I can get you any of the ones seen for $24 and that includes embroidery :)

My tulle puff headbands for girls and mom had a lot of Christmas ornaments, fabric bibs, burps, cloth napkins, kids napkins, etc!

We are all busy during the holidays! It seems like right after Thanksgiving, the Christmas madness begins and goes for a month straight! (Happy early Thanksgiving to our US friends!!!) I am always looking for cute hostess ideas for the holiday parties, playgroups, and get togethers! So, today I made a cute little hostess bag and included some fabulous red ad white striped straws! PERFECT for festive holiday activities!

Picture Cube Fun with the Imagine!

Good day everyone! Hope this Wednesday is a great one!

I am excited to share with you a project I made for the I-Team this week!

Isn't this picture cube fun!!!!!!! Best part? With my Imagine it only took MINUTES to do and NO CUTTING with my good ole trimmer!

I started with one of these, a blank wood cube!

and then I cute the squares using the shape that is preloaded on the Imagine and the patterns from the Snow Angel Cart!

The phrase is from the Joys of the Season cart and fille din with a pattern

from Snow Angel!

A little modge podge and some tulle, plus a fun picture of my little guy when he was 6 months makes this cube ready to adorn my pink lovin' studio's desk :)
